With all the mild weather the Bay Area’s been having (sorry to everyone who has to defrost from that Arctic Freeze!), I figured this was a good time to try my hand at something I don’t normally do a lot of: mixing prints.
I find mixing prints daunting because it can go wrong very quickly and easily, so I took baby steps into this world by pairing a graphic tee with a floral bomber and striped handbag.
I kept the look grounded with solid, over-the-knee boots. I love this pair because it adds so much height!
I also experimented with layering necklaces… it was harder than I thought it’d be; I own too many statement necklaces and not enough long and delicate ones!
If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve probably seen that I’m participating with other bloggers and insta-bloggers in a 30-day “Shop Your Closet” challenge hosted by @mrsstrock, @laurenlefevre and @jackiemewbourne. We won’t be shopping anywhere else but our own closets for 30 days. This is sure to pull out the best and creative styling in all of us, especially in the latter half of the 3o days, so if you’re looking for more outfit inspirations, search the hashtag #30dayclosetremix on Instagram. Or, if you’d like to join us, jump in when you’re ready! 🙂

New follower here! Love the way you styled the floral jacket! I have the same problem with necklaces! Too many chunky ones, not enough dainty ones.
