Hi everyone! I’m here with a quick post… and it’s my 31st birthday today! It’s funny when I think back to over a year ago, when I was still mentally preparing for turning the big 3-0. I asked my friend, G, to make me feel better since he was older than me, and here is what he said:

G: Are you having more fun in life now than you were two years ago? 
Me: …Yes? Haha, yes, I am.
G: Then just think of the fun you’ll be having this year and next year. ‘Cause I can tell you this, it gets better year after year.

It gets better year after year.

Turning 30 was definitely not as scary as I thought it would be, but it certainly wasn’t a perfect year. I sadly lost that friend I just quoted, and it really put into perspective the true value of one’s time. It also showed me how resilient the human spirit can be with the right attitude and mindset. I have wonderful memories that I will forever hold in my heart from last year, and came out with better, stronger friendships.

I can’t wait to see what Year 31 has in store, because I do believe that as my friend said, it only gets better. 🙂
