Springtime in Paris

Location: Paris

Bonjour from Paris! Today officially marks 1 week since I got here, and time is really flying.

I’ve been exploring the city with my friend Roger, and it almost seemed like a homecoming of sorts because we came here together last year, too. However, this trip feels completely different. We are so much more confident with navigating the streets and public transportation options, and because we polished off 80% of the tourist attractions last year, we spent most of this week leisurely checking off the last of our Parisian tourist bucket list.

But of course, that didn’t mean we completely ignored some of our favorites… like the Arc de Triumphe! It was under renovation last year and half of it was covered with scaffolding, but this year we got to see it in its full glory!

92_02_uniqlo_chino_micro_shorts_linen_sleeveless_bananarepublic_preslieThe weather during the first half of the week was absolutely gorgeous! It was warm enough that I could wear shorts… something I rarely get to do in San Francisco (so please forgive my pale legs, haha). Also, I should mention that we took these shots around 7:30 or 8pm — yes, it was that bright and still that warm at that hour. It reminded me of LA weather!

I usually I shy away from anything white for fear I will get it dirty, but I’m glad I took the chance on trying the shorts in white. I loved how they really brightened up the dark top. As a petite blogger, I do want to mention that I had to get the top majorly altered to fit my torso (I took in 1″ on each side by the armpits… their XS was the weirdest cut!) but the shorts in a size 0 fit me perfectly.

Okay, that’s all for now! I will post more pictures from my actual explorations next week. Enjoy your weekend, everyone! 🙂
