Happy New Year! I can’t believe the holidays have already come and gone. Was Santa good to you? I hope so! With some of my Christmas money (thank you, family!) I treated myself to some new goodies.

Ever since Club Monaco re-opened their doors in San Francisco 2 months ago, I’ve been drooling over their new space (decor inspiration galore) and clothes like crazy. Hoping there would be some great steals during their after-Christmas sale, I waited patiently… and was rewarded with this top and jacket! Paired with my new favorite skirt by local designer Alyssa Nicole, this outfit was a no-brainer.

I wasn’t sure if mixing the grid lines and houndstooth patterns would work together, but I really liked the way it turned out! 🙂

Stripes, grid lines and houndstooth — oh my!

I bought these booties on a whim back in July. I remember it clearly because my feet were tired after a whole day of shopping, and I wanted comfortable shoes to walk home in. As it turned out, I chose the best boots to buy! They are so comfortable, and I have pretty much been wearing them every day since winter started. They go with everything!

I really piled on jewelry with this look! I was feeling really fun that day because I was going to a friend’s engagement party, so I also added a cool flash tattoo for some extra sparkle.

And just for fun, here’s an outtake! I love it when skirts twirl well. 🙂
