It’s a good thing I don’t have a fear of heights.
A few weeks ago, some of my friends and I were exploring one of San Francisco’s prettiest landmarks, The Palace of Fine Arts. Inspired by the sheer grandness of it all, a few of them started joking, “Hey, wouldn’t it be fun if we got a photo of you standing on that ledge up there?” Well, as it turned out, they were being absolutely serious.
My friend/photographer kept shouting at me to get closer to the edge, and I really did try… but then a huge gust of wind came and almost made me lose my balance. I did not try again! >_<
The views at the top of the structure were amazing, but I’m honestly shocked that no security guards showed up to yell at us. If you are going to try to see these views for yourself, do not go up alone. I had a group of people who helped me get up and down safely, and while I’m giving away a blogger secret, I definitely changed out of my heels before climbing on anything. Safety first!
