Happy Monday! Did everyone enjoy that extra hour of sleep this weekend?
I’m not sure if anyone else does this, but every season, I find myself concentrating my shopping efforts into building up one main area of my closet. This time a year ago, I was obsessed with jackets and coats, and now I’m stockpiling sweaters. Prepping for another cold and rainy San Francisco winter, I found a lot of great options at even better prices at H&M. This particular oversized sweater turned out to be my favorite so I ended up going back and buying a second one in grey. (Hey, it’s like they say… if you find something that fits, buy it in all the colors!)
So here I was, armed and ready for cold autumn weather, but what did we get this weekend? Sun! Well, I couldn’t let go of the idea of wearing my new favorite sweater, so I switched my outfit around and reached for a black skater skirt instead of jeans, then cinched in my waist with a contrasting leopard-print belt so my petite frame wouldn’t get lost.
This pairing can easily be dressed up or down with the right pair of shoes. I chose to add a little pep to my step with some heels, but if you want to go casual, a pair of ballet flats would easily work, too!
Reminder, today is the LAST day to enter my giveaway for a chance to win your very own black mini satchel from the Phillip Lim x Target collab. The giveaway ends tonight 11:59pm PST, and I’ll be drawing the name of one lucky reader tomorrow. I’ll notify the winner via both Instagram and email, so if you entered, keep a lookout!
