For a recent wedding I attended, I dressed in shades of grey. (Ugh, that phrase is forever ruined by the book/movie, isn’t it? *sigh*)
I’m one of those people who are always cold, and because the wedding started at dusk and went well into the night, I wore my staple blazer the whole time. This piece was one of my first closet splurges made a few years ago, and at the time I nearly choked over the price. However, after countless months of hunting for a similar blazer with an asymmetric hemline at a cheaper price tag, I came up empty handed. After biting the bullet, I learned that splurging on a classic, well-made piece is worth it. No regrets!
I debated if I wanted to have a pop of color with my shoes or clutch, but in the end I really wanted to be monochromatic. I hardly wear silver jewelry anymore, so this was a great excuse to dust off my favorites!
I love the bold flower print on this dress! And the skirt pleats are great; they add just the right amount of flare to give my petite frame the illusion of more curves.
It’s really hard to see, but these shoes have a pebbled texture that reflects light beautifully. I almost thought it had colorful metallic flecks embedded in it, but upon closer inspection I could tell it was all just an optical illusion from the texture. These cage-style shoes were also surprisingly comfortable! I would have kept them on all night long, except I much prefer dancing in flats. 🙂
Have a great week, everyone!
