How many times have you bought a dress for a special occasion or party and only wore it that one time? It can be a shopper’s dilemma, but Rent the Runway has the solution. You can spend the same amount and rent a dress that will make you the star of the room, and not have to worry about it taking up closet space after the party is over. Plus, how exciting would it be to wear a dress from notable designers such as Hervé Léger, BCBGMAXAZRIA, Prabal Gurung, Issa, and Vera Wang? This budget fashionista is all OVER the idea.
In addition to offering a plethora of dresses, Rent the Runway also offers jewelry and handbag rentals, as well. (Pssst, you can even rent some vintage Chanel jewelry, I kid you not!)
Though I have not tried this service yet, I’m very anxious to. After perusing their site — for hours, I must admit — I narrowed my favorites down to these top 12 holiday picks.
Slate & Willow – Mae Sequin Shift ($75) | Eva Franco – Nova Dress ($50) |
Allison Parris – Dancefloor Diva Dress ($85) | Red Valentino – Sip of Rose Dress ($125) |
Issa – Komodo Shift ($150)
|
Halston Heritage – Adreneline Rush Jumpsuit ($100) |
Milly – Girl of the Hour Dress ($150) | Badgley Mischka – Take the Stage Gown ($165) |
Kate Spade – Citrus Candy Pop Dress ($90) | Allison Parris – Winter Wonderland Dress ($95) |
Theory – Mad Crushing On You Dress ($65) | Christian Siriano – Can’t Be Tamed Dress ($350) |
So, how does Rent the Runway work?
You make your selection based on the date you need the item, then book a 4 or 8-day rental period. After the party is over, you mail the dress back via the prepaid envelope. Voila! That’s it. The hardest part will be narrowing down your choices to just one dress!
Convinced?
Rent the Runway is offering $25 your first rental. (If you sign up via my referral link, you’ll get another $20 in rental credit too!)
