Hello, hello! I’m excited to emerge from the depths of my blogging break to partner withΒ Piperlime and their “Moments of Chic” campaign!
I absolutely love this skirt. The fun colors can take you from summer to fall, and they allow for tons of color versatility when it comes to selecting a top and shoes to complete the look.
The best part of this skirt? THE POCKETS. The fabric is thick and has a lot of structure, so if you want to go sans-handbag for an evening, you absolutely could keep your keys, phone and lipstick by your side — literally — and not have to worry about anything showing through in photos.
Embracing my feminine side, I chose a light pink top to pair with this outfit. I love how it is soft in color but has pleated structured sleeves, mimicking the pleats in the skirt.
These heels were exactly what I didn’t realize my shoe closet was missing. The color is a unique blend of gunmetal and taupe, and has rose gold undertones. I can already tell these are going to be put into heavy rotation come the holiday party season!
Who says fashion has to be serious all the time? I love quirky accessories like this clutch that looks like a real newspaper. π
If you didn’t already know, Piperlime unveiled their redesigned shopping experience back in August. In my humble opinion, the biggest improvement they made was pulling in Instagram photos of real, everyday women wearing the items they sell. I love this idea because seeing the different ways a single piece of clothing can be styled is not only super helpful but also inspiring. Additionally, it’s great seeing how those items look on different body types, rather than just on the standard model, so definitely check out their updated site!
Before I go, I want to thank everyone for your kind messages you left in my last post. Admitting to myself that I couldn’t do it all was one thing, but admitting it to you guys was quite another, and I honestly wasn’t sure what kind of reception I would get. Your well-wishes were unexpected and incredibly encouraging, and I hope you know how much I value and treasure each of you. I’m happy to report that my mini-break was exactly what I needed to get myself back on track, and I’m finally starting to edit the photos in the queue! Look forward to another post next week. π
Until then, please check back on Friday because something a little different will be coming your way. (Oooh, is that cryptic enough?? hehe)

Love those shoes! Are they comfortable?
October 16, 2014 at 9:16 pmHi Emily! They actually are quite comfortable. They have padded foot beds so it really helps. I would say they’re wearable for a few hours before they will start hurting. π
