I haven’t mentioned it to you lovely readers yet, but I’ve been actually been on a self-imposed shopping ban for most of November in preparation for holiday gift shopping. It’s been challenging setting aside my shopaholic tendencies, but it’s also given me the opportunity to shop from my own closet. To my surprise and delight, I’ve been finding all sorts of gems that had gotten tucked away from view!
Being on a budget (or in this case, having no budget!), has actually been pretty fun. I’ve been exploring ways to style inexpensive things in my closet and making them look luxe, and one of the easiest ways to do this is to bring in gold accents. Gold instantly elevates everything to the next level, so I paired this dress with a wool moto jacket with tons of gold zippers and a belt with gold bow.
Adding a statement necklace is another way to dress up your ensemble. I particularly love this one because you have to look twice to tell if it’s part of the dress or a separate piece!
If the thought of wearing a necklace this big is intimidating, you can always start smaller and work your way up. This necklace is a really nice alternative and can be dressed up or down.
I found this Balenciaga-inspired clutch I had bought over a year ago hiding behind some scarves. I still can’t believe I forgot about it!
These Chanel boots were my Christmas gift to myself last year, and you would not believe I found them in a consignment shop for $95! Deal of the century!
Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!
