One might think it’s too early to think about holiday outfit planning, but not this girl. I’m a firm believer that the early bird gets the worm, so my mind was already kicking into high-gear last month, keeping an eye out for things that caught my attention. I saw quite a few pretty dresses, but I really wanted to try a style I hadn’t worn before, so I started looking at jumpsuits.
Like a little black dress, a little black jumpsuit makes a woman look timeless and elegant, but finding one that fits a petite frame and has the same flattering effect is easier said than done. Of course, a visit to a tailor would achieve the perfect fit, but I was determined to find a jumpsuit that didn’t require any extra help.
My search landed me a goldmine at ASOS. There were so many styles to choose from, both in regular and petite sizes. I chose one with a sweetheart neckline because it would create the illusion of a fuller bust.
To bring in some holiday cheer, I paired my jumpsuit with a pair of red heels and a candy wrapper-inspired clutch. The mix of gold, red and studs left the door open for some mixed metals, so I accessorized my wrist with my favorite arm stack (mentioned in my Stella & Dot Holiday Gift Guide).
It got pretty windy, so I tried to catch a taxi. I thought that maybe dressed this nicely, I’d have no problem finding one, but… sigh. I ended up walking home. Oh, San Francisco…
Hope everyone has a great Veterans Day weekend!
