Happy Friday, everyone! I just can’t seem to get enough of dresses these days, and I particularly love wearing shift dresses because they are just so easy. And more often than not, depending on the print, they can be dressed up or down to fit any occasion. Truth be told, I actually have 5 shift dresses in my closet, some from quite a few years ago and will never go out of style because of the classic silhouette.

The other night, I was late to meet my friend at a La La Land-themed “pop up” jazz club experience in SF and I forgot to outfit plan the night before! I had 5 minutes to get dressed, and so I had to make some quick decisions. I knew I wanted to be a little dressier while still feeling comfortable, so I started with this cold shoulder shift dress as my base and added a statement necklace to offset the simplicity. It was also a little breezy out, so on went some comfortable leggings (in lieu of hosiery, which I always find too constricting) and my go-to boots. Topping it all off with a pop of red for color, I was done and out the door just in time!
