When I first visited the Palais Royal in 2014, I promised myself I would come back and shoot an outfit there. What I didn’t know was that I would fulfill that promise just a year later!
The black and white columns made such a fun backdrop, and obviously appealed to me and my love/obsession with black and white. They also brought out the kid in me, and despite being in heels, I had to jump off a few just for fun. I’m sure everyone around me thought I was nuts. 🙂
There are a few items in my closet that I’ve had for over 5 years, and this cardigan/vest thing is one of them! Vests are a big trend right now (see my last post), and while this piece isn’t a traditional vest, it is a nice nod to the trend. I particularly like how it frames my loose-fitting top and keeps the eye moving vertically, adding the illusion of extra height.
Banana Republic has been absolutely killing it lately with their shoes! Their heels are amazingly comfortable, and as my coworkers can attest to, I wear a pair of BR shoes to work every day. Be sure to check out their sale items, which include these caged heels, and get an additional 40% off with the code BRSALE! (Sale ends 6/30.)
More Paris-related posts are still coming! It’s been a slow process sorting through my photos… I was pretty trigger-happy with my new camera LOL.
Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!
