With Valentine’s Day just weeks away now, I’m seeing pink and red everywhere. But why not think outside the box for this Hallmark holiday? Instead of wearing a sweet or sexy dress in a traditional color of love, consider a jumpsuit! They are so elegant and timeless. When I spotted this beautiful blue velvet number on the sale rack at Anthropologie, and all I could think about was: DATE NIGHT.
For the vertically challenged, jumpsuits are a great way to add the illusion of height. When the length just skims the floor, it lengthens the leg just right. I particularly love this cut a lot because the wide leg is just so easy and comfortable to wear! It felt like I was almost wearing a maxi dress. 🙂
The velvet texture was such a show-stealer that I kept my neckline unadorned and opted for statement rings and earrings instead. Sticking with silver tones to compliment the cool blue hues, draped ear jackets added that perfect little ‘something’ that could peak through my hair. On my fingers, I chose to pair a vintage-inspired ring and a modern minimalist design together, as they complimented each other perfectly.
Do you already have your Valentine’s Day (or Galentine’s Day) outfit planned out?
