I had the exciting opportunity to attend a holiday party hosted by RocksBox and Zappos earlier this week. Dressed from head to toe in festive black and gold, I headed out to 111 Minna, an art gallery, not knowing quite what to expect. I was hoping jewelry and shoes would be involved considering the hosts, and while I wasn’t completely right, I also wasn’t disappointed in the least!
I think I speak for many people when I say I’m so ready for this cold snap — or Ice Age, as Ryan calls it — to be over!
To break up the long drive home last Saturday, my family and I stopped off in this little hidden gem of a town called Ashland, Oregon. We wandered around a little and discovered a darling boutique: Papaya Living. At first glance, it looked as though they only carried home decor, but upon closer inspection, they also had some really unique clothes!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with family and friends! As I mentioned in my previous post, I spent my holiday weekend up in Oregon visiting my sister, who goes to Oregon State University. It was really exciting to see where she has been spending the last year and a half while away from home. I don’t know how she stands the temperature, though, because wow, was it cold!
Greetings from the road! As you read this, I am actually on my way up to Oregon to visit my sister for Thanksgiving. I haven’t seen her in months!
It’s a casual, comfy day today with a fun, loose sweater over leggings. This cozy combination is perfect if you are stuck in a car (like me), and can also pull double-duty when you inevitably eat too much turkey. Topping off the look with a utility jacket with an drawstring waist will keep your feminine figure from getting lost in the baggy sweater. (And no one but you will know about that extra slice of pumpkin pie you ate… *wink*)
Well, the weekend certainly flew by, didn’t it? Normally I’d be disappointed, but I hope that just means that everyone has a nice, short week ahead!
I’m continuing on with my shopping ban, so I raided my closet to create a conservative holiday look, perfect for an office gathering or a family dinner.
