I’m finally catching up on my final photo set from last month’s LA trip! My friends and I had spent a gorgeous evening at the Griffith Observatory taking in the sights. Though the weather earlier that day was unbearably hot for this San Francisco girl, the evening was perfect, and the views from the observation deck were simply stunning!
- How tall is the model, and how do her measurements compare to my own?
- Judging from how the garment fits her, does it have a chance at fitting me?
- Will the style of this piece be flattering on me?
- What’s the likelihood it will need alterations?
- How much is this garment?
- If I had to get alterations, is it still worth it?
This post is for all of my petite readers out there who, like me, loves online shopping but hates how frustrating it can be to find something that fits right out of the box.
When I shop online, a lot of factors go into my decision to take a chance and make a purchase. The usual litany of questions I ask myself goes something like this:
If those sound familiar to you, then keep on reading, because there’s a new store in town for women 5’4″ and under!
It’s a good thing I don’t have a fear of heights.
A few weeks ago, some of my friends and I were exploring one of San Francisco’s prettiest landmarks, The Palace of Fine Arts. Inspired by the sheer grandness of it all, a few of them started joking, “Hey, wouldn’t it be fun if we got a photo of you standing on that ledge up there?” Well, as it turned out, they were being absolutely serious.

When I started this blog, I honestly had know idea what I was getting into. I thought I’d just post a few photos and write a few words (which is a big component, don’t get me wrong!) but what I didn’t realize was how important networking would be. Since Closet Luxe’s conception last October 2013, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting so many driven and motivational women, all with the same shared love for fashion. After attending my second fashion conference — the coveted, invite-only Lucky FABB conference — I’ve walked away with even more new friends, an even stronger appreciation for personal style, and a handful of words to live by.
Greetings, everyone! Hope you’re all having a great Tuesday so far.
When I was in LA two weeks ago, I was able to check off a few places I’ve been meaning to visit. One of these places was the Walt Disney Concert Hall. I’d seen friends post photos of the beautiful architecture, but to see it in person was even grander than I had imagined!
